Pointer Yachts

My mission in January of this year was to travel to the Dusseldorf Boat Show to experience for myself the vibrant European sailing scene and specifically to find some innovative trailerable sailboats. After the first day of the show I found myself sharing a few beers with the only other patron at the hotel bar that serendipitously (as events often unfold as you dream and travel) turned out to Frans Punt of Pointer Yachts of The Netherlands builders of a line of 3 exciting boats, with the Pointers 22 & 25 being trailerable. The Pointer 30, while not a trailerable, is an elegant sailing platform with fold down swim platform and articulating steering pedestal to quickly shift the pedestal between port and starboard tack.

We would have these fine yachts shipped via car carrier to an East or Gulf Coast port. The first Pointer destined for the US market will be sailing on New York waters this summer of 2024.

PURE AND MODERN

Hull design with swing keel and twin rudders, the sailboat can navigate shallow sheltered waters. Suitable for single-handed sailing as all can be operated from the helm. All winches, stoppers, trimlines, sheets and halyards are at arm's length. The POINTER 22 comes with a modern cabin and double bed. Optional upgrades of toilet and fridge can be installed. The cabin sleeps up to four people. Choose from Torqeedo 1103 or Tohatsu 4HP outboard.

COMFORTABLE AND ELEGANT

Under sail, outstanding performance is due to a fat head main, below deck furling jib, fin keel with bulb and balanced rudder. Self-tacking jib upgrade for solo sailing and a traveller on top of transom for mainsheet can be installed. The interior of the POINTER 25 comes in different modules such as head with a holding tank, fridge drawer and a pantry with either only a sink or sink with stove. Choice of Torqeedo 4.0 or Yanmar 10HP inboard.

EXCLUSIVE AND STYLISH

The sail plan is sporty and easy to control with a spacious cockpit and ability for single-handed sailing. Choice of tilting steering wheel or tiller, the design is perfect for modern contemporary sailors, equipped with a swim platform. Focused on space and comfort, the interior has rotating armchairs, innovative bar, private v-berth and head, comfortably sleeps 4 adults. Choose from Torqeedo 6.0 POD or Yanmar 15HP or 20HP, inboard propulsion.
